After A Long DayAfter A Long Day

I’m just on the ferry heading back home. I’m thinking lots of coffee – maybe via an IV drip – and a slice of pizza or two. But mostly I’m thinking of what will happen post-caffeine and sustenance while I’m suggesting all this to Dan, who’s closer to home and already done for the day!

As I walk through the door and drop my day job in the nearest dark and forgettable corner, the smell of coffee and pizza hit me like a big wet kiss and following that there comes the actual big wet kiss courtesy of the aforementioned Dan.

No, Dan is not an extremely talented dog. He just shares the same greeting methods, being from England. The notable differences there is that Dan doesn’t drink from the toilet and he doesn’t bathe himself with his tongue either.

However he does fetch like a pro and life-giving coffee is on hand at once.

I put my feet up for a bit after losing the business alias. We talk about our day and eat pizza and let the goods work their magic. I’m winding down, ditching stress, loosening up, and then Dan suggests I go for a warm shower to freshen up.
