Dad’s celebration

It was a big occasion to celebrate at the office, Dad had just completed his 10th year as Chairman of the company and it was decided to throw him an extravagant celebration party.

There had been titbits and rumours left around the office and it had been admitted that some of the office staff wanted to show their appreciation for their employment and his good temperament over the years as the staff had stayed loyal to him throughout several difficulties.

It was well known in the office that Dad liked a round or two of golf in the afternoon on a Friday, and a tipple of a certain Single Malt whiskey. So his Friday afternoon was kept free in his diary and a mini-party was arranged by the office staff.

I had almost managed ten years in the company too and had made senior Manager and was on a good wage for my position and I had quite a few perks with it too. I chatted with my Step-Mother and we decided that as it was a special occasion we’d club together and top the year off for him as he had just recovered from a heart operation.
