The Baba’s Touch

Later, the baba called my mother-in-law and told her, “Bring your daughter-in-law here tomorrow and bring some money with you because I will be performing a havan (fire ritual) for her. If you wish, I can also perform it at your home.”

The Baba’s Blessing

My mother-in-law said, “It would be best if your father-in-law stayed home. He should rest.” My father-in-law agreed and said, “Alright, I will stay home.” My mother-in-law told me all this when she returned home.

The next day, my mother-in-law prepared everything for the havan (a Hindu ritual). My father-in-law was late. When my husband and my father-in-law went out, Baba Ji arrived with two of his disciples. Only I and my mother-in-law were at home.

Baba Ji said, “I don’t have much time; hurry up because this havan will take a long time.” He added, “This havan will be performed in a private room. You, my daughter-in-law, will be inside alone, and my disciples and I will sit outside and pray to God for the success of this havan.”

My mother-in-law agreed, but I felt something was amiss. However, she had complete faith in Baba Ji. Baba Ji took me into a room, and his disciples followed with the havan materials. As they were about to begin, Baba Ji locked the door and said, “Daughter, eat this herb; it will help you conceive.”
