Taking care of the wife’s mother

“Your Mother was teaching me the three holes!” I said as a matter of fact.

Both she and her Mother turned a pale shade of white.

“If I ever hear of you chastising your Daughter again,” I said, “I’ll come down on you like a ton of bricks!”

I left with her and enjoyed a wonderful night out.

“You were so brave confronting my Mother like that,” she said.

“Things need to be brought out into the open, and honesty needs to be brought out,” I said.

The subject was never broached again.
