Ghost from the past
As she dressed she heard her cell ring. The caller id said it was Amanda. “Girl, where are you? Your mother called twice, the first time I said you were sleeping, then she called back a couple of minutes ago and I said you were in the shower.” “I’m still with Ed. He asked me to go to his house for the weekend.” Amanda smiled and said: “You’re kidding; you’re the first one I’ve ever heard of him taking to his house”, “How was it?” “It was incredible.” “I told you it would be. What do you want me to tell your mom?” Donna thought for a moment and asked “can you conference call my house and then it will show up on caller id as if it is coming from your house?” “Sure. Hold on a sec.” “Hi mom, nothing, I think we will head to the shore, enjoy the last nice days of Indian summer. I’ll be back Monday. Okay, love you too. Bye.” “Manda, you heard? She’ll probably call my cell but if not make something up.” “Okay, I’ve got your back but you’ve got to give us all the details when you get back.” “I’ve finally got something to tell.” “Oh by the way, welcome to the club.”
