Escaping miracle-2
“Adam! Please! Help!” I scream as I try to unlock the door. My hands struggle but I am suddenly pulled back and thrown against the wall. My head hits it hard and I open my eyes just in time to see the door swing open but the agonizing pain I feel in my stomach causes me to cry out in agony.
I fall to my knees, clutching my stomach as the blood pours out and over my shaking hands. Adam pulls his gun out of his waistband and aims it at Jonathan. My world goes black as I fall the the ground and the gunshot rings through the air.

1 year later
I stand outside the police station, waiting impatiently for Adam to get off. It’s a nice day out with a refreshing breeze and a blue sky. A perfect day to go to the lake. I even brought a basket for a small picnic which I know he would enjoy.
A smile forms on my face when I see him walk out. He is talking to a couple of his buddies when I walk over to them. He smiles when he sees me and pulls me into his arms, leaving a chaise kiss on my lips.
“Happy to see me?” I whisper, ignoring the hoots and claps from his buddies. I am used to it now.
