Escaping miracle-1
No one. Your mind is playing tricks, Amelia.
I start walking against when I hear the crunching of sticks behind me and I quickly spin around. A guy stands there in black, faded jeans and a white t-shirt. He looks just as scared as I am.
My heart is racing, and I press my hand over it.
“Fuck, you scared me.” I mutter.
“I should say the same.” He replies, raking a hand through his messy brown hair.
I laugh, glad he wasn’t Jonathan. “I thought you were someone else.”
His expression goes serious, “And I thought you were a psychopath roaming around the woods.”
I raise an eyebrow at him, not knowing what to say.
He chuckles, “Only kidding. I saw you walking from the window from my bedroom.” He gestures towards the house hidden by trees, “Anyway, what are you doing out here?”
I bite my lip, “Just walking around. Decided to go on an adventure.” I lie.
His blue eyes roam around us, “Out here?” He questions as his eyes land on me again, “It’s not safe out here.”
“Tell me about it.” I mutter. Other than the animals, nothing could be more dangerous than Jonathan, and that is a fact.
