Escaping miracle-2
As much as I would like to resist because I know for damn sure Jonathan will be searching for me, I smile back and nod. “Sure, why not. But I can’t stay long.”
He nods,”That’s understandable. I’m pretty sure my grilled cheese sandwich and wine will say otherwise.”
I laugh as I follow him towards the house. “Wine and grilled cheese. That’s a weird combo.”
He glances over at me, “Not weird. Delicious.”
“Whatever you say.”
He shakes his head with a grin on his face as we make our way into his house.

Okay, I will say this right now, Adam can make a mean grilled cheese sandwich. I have never, in the 20 years of my life, have I ever ate such a delicious and exotic grilled cheese.
It’s about 3pm, but I don’t care. I am enjoying being with Adam. Talking with him feels…new and fresh. Like I need this. It’s different since I am so used to Jonathan and his ways. I feel like I can say what I want when I am around Adam, and I won’t be disciplined with his fist when I do. It’s refreshing, and honestly, I think I have a newfound crush on the guy.
